Summer 2026 Logistics Optimization Intern

As a Logistics Optimization Intern, you will support key initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency through systems integration, cost analysis, and process improvement. You will work hands-on with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, analyze fleet performance data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable logistics solutions. This internship offers a dynamic opportunity to apply analytical skills and contribute to impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

WMS & ERP Integration Support:

• Assist in mapping and documenting current workflows between WMS and ERP systems.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify integration gaps and propose solutions.
• Participate in testing and validation of system enhancements or new integrations.

Fleet Cost Optimization:

• Analyze transportation and fleet data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support the development of models to evaluate carrier performance, route efficiency, and fuel usage.
• Assist in implementing initiatives to reduce logistics spend while maintaining service levels.

Process Development & Implementation:

• Document existing logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Support the design and rollout of standardized operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor pilot implementations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.
• Participate in team meetings and present findings or recommendations to stakeholders.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Develop dashboards and reports to track key logistics KPIs.
• Provide insights and summaries to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Program Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
• The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.

What We Offer:

Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00

The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
