About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering, also referred to as the Head of Technology, to play a pivotal role in defining and driving the technical strategy behind its digital products. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of tools and experiences that align with the organization's mission and foster global impact. This leadership position is critical for overseeing software development, tech operations, security, data, and platform support, with a focus on maintaining a robust, secure, and scalable digital infrastructure. The VP of Engineering will be responsible for crafting and communicating an ambitious technical vision, aligning with product and organizational goals, and building a high-performing engineering culture that embraces innovation and sustainable growth. Applicants for the VP of Engineering role at the company should be passionate about using technology to create social change and have a strong background in technical leadership. The role requires extensive experience in managing and securing complex systems, infrastructure, and applications, as well as a deep understanding of full-stack web development, system security, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, be adept at managing engineering operations, and have a concrete understanding of web security, privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance. While not mandatory, a Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus, and the candidate should be based in Spain, as the position is remote.
